Under Falling Skies is a pure solo boardgame where you are tasked with defending earth against invading aliens. Every round the mothership draws closer and summons alien ships that are attacking Earth’s defenses. You can fight back through the use of dice rolling, careful planning, and specific dice placement.
The game on average takes 20-40 minutes and contains multiple different scenarios (even a decent campaign where your progress between missions is recorded and affects your missions later down the line!).
Under Falling Skies is a great tabletop game as it takes up little space, easy to setup, multiple diffiuclties, and wraps up pretty quick. This is one of my favorite games to take with me when traveling if I know i’ll have periods of downtime where I need to keep myself occupied. Due it to being reliant on dice rolls, it can feel a little unlucky at times, but this shouldn’t deter you as there is a deep well of strategy in how you can upgrade the defense of your base. I highly recommend picking up this game for anyone interested in solo boardgaming
